The Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS), with a financial commitment of 9,000 crore, for the development of the nation’s judicial infrastructure has been extended till 2025–26, according to information provided by Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju in Parliament.
The Law Minister stated that the plan now includes building lawyers’ halls, digital computer rooms, and restroom complexes in district and subordinate courts in addition to court halls and residential quarters.
The Law Minister also disclosed, “A sum of Rs. 9291.79 crores has been released under the Scheme so far since its inception, out of which Rs. 5847.48 crore (62.93 %) has been released since 2014-15.”
