Almost everyone has watched the movie ShahenShah, Its famous dialogue “Rishte Me Toh hm unke Bap Lagte hai”  by Actor Amitabh Bachchan. But this dialogue uttered by Congress leader and Senior Advocate Salman Khurshid in the 2019  Lok Sabha election campaign in reference to the Current CM of UP Yogi Aditya Nath has landed him in trouble and an FIR was filed against him for hurting the sentiment and feelings of the CM Yogi.

While hearing the case, Justice Dinesh Kumar Singh accepted the apology of Salman Khurshid and quashed the FIR  as Petitioner has filed a personal affidavit and expressed remorse over the said comment made during the 2019 election period. Hon’ble Justice mentioned  in his order :

Once the petitioner regretted his comment and made it clear that he never intended to hurt the feelings and sentiment of anyone or of Yogi Aditya Nath, He made that comment in a lighter Vein while responding to some question put up by a journalist, the impugned proceeding stand quashed.

Regret is tough but a fair teacher To live without regret is to believe you have nothing to learn, No amends to make, and no opportunity to be braver with your life.

Petitioner has regretted his offending comment which means he still has the appetite to learn and be brave in life.
