The Bar Council of Delhi has decided to issue fresh identity cards to all lawyers enrolled with the council.
The Bar Council of Delhi decided this in a meeting that was held on April 6.
As per the circular issued by the Bar Council of Delhi, the new identity cards will be given to advocates enrolled and they will have to apply for the same with the attested copy of their Aadhar card, enrollment certificate and certificate of practice.
The notice states that the permanent identity card will be valid for 10 years and the provisional identity card will be valid for two years.
The notice also states that no charge will be taken from the lawyers for applying for the issuance of new identity cards and they will be issued free of cost to those who apply within one month.
