These difficulties do not allow certain businesses, especially medium and small businesses to protect their Intellectual Property effectively.

Patent production in pharmaceutical industries helps in research, development, and innovations continuously of the existing product and developments and discovery of new drugs for various illnesses. However, patent laws in pharmaceutical industries have always been a subject of controversy and debate as it has a direct impact on access to medicine. In many countries, the price of a patented drug has been excessively higher which causes a restraint on the availability of lifesaving medicines among people. There should be a balance between the availability of Intellectual property rights and public health concerns. The balance should be such that innovations and developments happen without affecting public health.
